Andrew McClellan
Andrew McClellan is professor of art history at Tufts University. He is the author of numerous books and articles on museums and collecting, including Inventing the Louvre: Art, Politics and the Origins of the Modern Museum in Eighteenth-Century Paris (1999), The Art Museum from Boullée to Bilbao (2008), and most recently, The Art of Curating: Paul J. Sachs and the Museum Course at Harvard (2018, with Sally Anne Duncan). His current project is a comparative history of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
