Hans-Wolfgang Loidl received his Dipl-Ing degree from Johannes Kepler University, Linz, in 1992 and his PhD degree from the University of Glasgow in 1998. His main research interests are in parallel functional programming and symbolic computation. He is currently a Research Fellow at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, funded by the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
