Albert Moran

Albert Moran is professor in Humanities at Griffith University in Brisbane.  He has researched extensively in the areas of film and television studies, editing and authoring over 25 books and writing more than 100 refereed articles and chapters. His latest books are New Flows in Global TV (Intellect 2009) and   the co-edited collection Cultural Adaptation (Routledge 2009).  Research areas include Australian film and television history, global TV formats, and media geographies.  Current projects include a biography of Australian TV producer and format pioneer, Reg Grundy, and an edited collection having to do with cultural transfer and translation.  In 2008, he was elected an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.
