Glen Coutts is a part-time Professor of Applied Visual Arts Education at the University of Lapland in Finland. Until April 2010 he was Reader in art and design education at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. He began his career as a community artist, taught art and design in secondary schools for ten years and was head of department for five years.
He writes regularly about issues in art education and is currently a member of the Executive of the International Society for Education through Art and Principal Editor of the International Journal of Education through Art.
