Astrid Ensslin
Astrid Ensslin is Lecturer in New Media at Bangor University. Her main research interests are in the fields of New Media literature and theory, cyberculture, games studies, semiotics, stylistics, multimodality, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics (e.g. language attitudes, language in the media and metalanguage), and corpus linguistics. She has a BA/MA from Tuebingen University (2002), a Postgraduate Teaching Certificate from Leeds University and a PhD from Heidelberg University (2006). She is founding editor of the MHRA Working Papers in the Humanities and have recently co-edited (with Alice Bell) the 2007 issue of dichtung digital on New Perspectives on Digital Literature: Criticism and Analysis.
