Sue Cox
Sue Cox is a Senior Lecturer at the University of East Anglia and currently teaches on the Masters level PGCE (Primary), with responsibility for Art and Design and General Professional Studies. She is also course director of the MA in Advanced Educational Practice. In her previous post at Nottingham Trent University she taught and held leadership roles on B.A.(Education) and B.Ed. courses (Art and Design and Education Studies) and MA courses. She has undertaken a number of funded research projects in art and design education and children’s participation. Her research interests centre on art and design in the primary phase, the primary curriculum and pedagogy, children’s participation and decision making, children as researchers and action research. Her background in philosophy of education informs her work in art and design education. Prior to entering higher education she taught for 12 years in primary schools in the UK and in Hong Kong.
