Astrid Ensslin is Senior Lecturer in Digital Humanities at Bangor University. Her main research interests are in the fields of digital literature and theory, video games and ludology, discourse analysis, semiotics and communication. She has a BA/MA from Tuebingen University (2002), a Postgraduate Teaching Certificate from Leeds University and a Ph.D. from Heidelberg University (2006). She is founding editor of Intellect's Journal of Gaming and Virtual Worlds.
