Carolin Overhoff Ferreira

Carolin Overhoff Ferreira is Assistant Professor and teaches film, script analysis and scriptwriting at the Portuguese Catholic University in Porto and Brazilian film at the University of Coimbra. She studied film and theatre studies in Vienna, Bristol and Berlin and wrote her doctoral thesis on contemporary Latin American drama. She has taught dramaturgy, film and theatre history at the Applied University of Art and Design in Hanover, and contemporary Latin American drama at the Free University of Berlin. Current key interests of investigation are questions of identity, postcolonialism, migration, the representation of women and literary adaptation in Portuguese-speaking films.
