Rossella Ferrari is Lecturer in Modern Chinese Culture and Language at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Her research interests focus on Chinese-language theatre and film, cross-cultural performance, and avant-garde theory. She has recently completed a book-length manuscript entitled Pop Goes The Avant-Garde: Experimental Theatre in Contemporary China.
