Christine Fanthome

Christine runs the Representation and Reception postgraduate course at City University and lectures for Boston University (British Programmes), the Foundation for International Education and EUSA. She is the author of Channel 5 – the early years (Luton: University of Luton Press 2003), 'What do young people want from today's BBC?' (Young Consumers, 2008), 'Articulating authenticity through artifice: The contemporary relevance of Tracey Emin's Confessional Art' (Social Semiotics, June 2008) and 'Creating an iconic brand - an account of the history, development, context and significance of Channel 4's idents' (Journal of Media Practice 2007).
