Adam Ganz is a lecturer at Royal Holloway University of London. He studied at Cambridge and Bristol and the National Film and Television School. He has written a number of screenplays for different production companies including the BBC, Redwave Films, Kismet Films, APT Films, and IWC Media for Channel 4. He has directed a number of short films, which have been shown at festivals around the world. Threesome, which he wrote and directed, starring Lesley Vickerage and Stuart Laing was shown at Telluride, Newport Rhode Island, Foyle and on Sky television. He directed Pillow Talk written by William Sutcliffe and starring Daisy Donovan and Cavan Clerkin for Channel 4’s 'Coming Up' strand.
His most recent short film, Show Home starring Charlie Creed-Miles and Natasha Little has been shown at festivals internationally and was selected by the British Council as one of Britain’s outstanding short films of 2006. http://www.showhomethefilm.com/
He has also worked as a script consultant for a number of companies including the BBC, Complicité and Working Title, where he worked with Simon McBurney on Mr Bean Goes on Holiday.
He has taught aspects of screenwriting, directing and narrative design at the Universities of Northumbria, London Guildhall University, the University of East London, and the Royal College of Art amongst others. He has also worked as a narrative consultant on several large multimedia projects.
He has research interests in digital cinema and narrative and visualisation and has written an article co-authored with Lina Khatib (2006). “Digital Cinema: The Transformation of Film Practice and Aesthetics”. In New Cinemas: Journal of Contemporary Film, volume 4, issue 1, pp. 21-36.
