Cecilia Häggström

After completing a degree in Design in 1986 at the School of Design and Craft, University of Gothenburg, Häggström studied Theory of Science and Research for a year and a half, followed by a Ph.D. in Theoretical and Applied Aesthetics/Architecture, at Chalmers’ University of Technology, which she completed in 1996. This was followed by a four-year post-doctoral research post at the School of Architecture, Lund University. As vice president of the board (1999–2002), Häggström was involved in establishing research-education at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Art. In 2001 she began tutoring the first Ph.D. students in Design, and since 2003 has also taught Theory Science and Research, and Academic Writing at Masters level.
