Jeremy Hicks

Jeremy Hicks is a senior lecturer in Russian at Queen Mary University of London, where he teaches courses in film and in Russian studies. His research interests centre on questions of documentary and Soviet/Russian film representations of the Holocaust. He is the author of Dziga Vertov: Defining Documentary Film (2007) and is currently completing a book for Pittsburgh University Press on Soviet wartime representations of the Holocaust, provisionally entitled Cinema's Black Book: Soviet Film and the Holocaust, 1938-46.
