William Harvill is currently working for the Sherrod Library at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN, while he continues to work on his Ph.D. in Musicology at the University of Kansas. While his primary focus is ragtime and early jazz, he became enamoured with Al Capp’s ‘Li’l Abner’ as a child after seeing his older brother and sister in a local production of the musical.
