Carole L. Hahn

Carole L. Hahn is the Charles Howard Candler Professor of educational studies at Emory University in Atlanta, USA. She was the US national research coordinator for the ‘Civic Education Study’ of the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) and she is an Advisory Professor at the Hong Kong Institute of Education. She is a past president of the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) and recipient of the Jean Dresden Grambs Distinguished Career Research Award from NCSS. She has conducted comparative studies of citizenship education and written about civic education in the US and comparatively.
