Heikki Hellman is Dr of Social Sciences and since 2011 Dean of the School of Communication, Media and Theatre, at the University of Tampere, Finland. He has written several articles on television programming, broadcasting policy and media competition. From 1989 to 2005 he worked as the culture editor of Helsingin Sanomat, the leading Finnish daily, and 2008-2009 as the Visiting Professor of Journalism at the University of Tampere.
