Petros Iosifidis is Reader in Media Policy in the Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences. He obtained his first degree in Sociology from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences of Athens. He then completed his MA in Communication Policy Studies and Ph.D. in Media Concentration Policy in Europe and the Public Interest at City University London and University of Westminster respectively. He previously taught at the University of North London. Petros serves on the Peer Review College of the Economic and Social Research Council. He is Books Editor of the International Journal of Digital Television. Petros is a media policy academic, working on the social, political and economic aspects of the media industry.
