David Kerr
David Kerr has worked most of his life in Southern Africa (Botswana, Malawi and Zambia) creating and mobilizing theatre or media productions on health and human rights issues. He is the author of numerous book and journal articles on drama and development topics, as well as African Popular Theatre (London, James Currey, 1995) and Dance, Media Entertainment and Popular Theatre in South East Africa (Bayreuth, Bayreuth African Studies, 1997). He has also published a volume of poems (Tangled Tongues, Hexham, Flambard 2003) a pseudonymous novel (Passages, Carbondale, Brown Turtle Press 2008), and several plays and short stories. He is currently guest editing African Theatre 10, a special issue on performance and media.
