Hyun-Kyung Lee has an adjunct faculty position at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She has a Ph.D. in Arts Administration from Florida State University (FSU), Tallahassee, Florida; an MA in Museum Studies from Syracuse University, New York; and a BFA in Visual Communication Design from Hongik University, Seoul, Korea. She worked as an intern at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles; the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) in Newport Beach; and the National Modern Museum of Art in Korea. She has published a book, articles
and research papers on design education and design museums.
