Michael Meadows is Associate Professor of Journalism, School of Humanities at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. His research lies in journalism ethics and practice; media representation of indigenous affairs; the media and the representation of race; indigenous media in Australia and Canada; community media audiences and production; the history of the idea of rock-climbing in Australia and the relationship between people and the landscape in Australia.
