Gilbert Motsaathebe

Gilbert Motsaathebe is a SEPHIS fellow at the Centre for the Study of Culture and Society in Bangalore and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Journalism, Faculty of Informatics and Design at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town. He is an accredited Mentor and Assessor in the field of television journalism with 17 years of experience in both the media industry and academia, having worked as news producer and editor for various television stations, and taught at private and public institutions in South Africa and Japan. His research interest includes topics on media, gender and development; black feminisms; postapartheid films and the African Renaissance paradigm.
