Hélène Martin-Brelot

Hélène Martin-Brelot is a research fellow in urban geography at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Urban Studies (LISST-Cieu), University of Toulouse. Her Ph.D. in geography (January 2006) dealt with Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and their potential role in a sustainable development strategy. As an experiment she created 22 monthly magazines of 20 minutes each (called Rhizome) about environment concerns for a local TV station near Versailles. She recently compared the spatial dynamics of Île-de-France, London, Berlin and Luxemburg regarding the aim of sustainable development.

Hélène Martin-Brelot is also involved in the works of the Information society commission of the Comité National Français de Géographie.
