Alan O’Shea

Alan O’Shea was a founder of the Cultural Studies programme at the University of East London, where he became Head and Professor of Cultural Studies. He is editor of and contributor to M. Nava and A. O’Shea (eds) (1996), Modern Times: Reflections on a Century of English Modernity, and has written on popular cultural change and on critical pedagogy. He is currently Visiting Tutor in Media and Communications at Goldsmiths College, and also holds the title of Emeritus Professor of Cultural Studies at the University of East London.
