Kristin Skare Orgeret (Dr Art.) is Associate Professor in Journalism and Media and Communication in the Faculty of Journalism at Oslo University College. The main focus of most of her research is the role of media and journalism in democratization and nation-building processes. Among recent publications are ‘Mediated culture and the well-informed global citizen: Images of Africa in the global North’, in Nordicom Review 2, 2010; The Power of Communication.
