Cathy Smilan is Assistant Professor of Art Education at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Director of the Master of Art Education Program. Recent publications include articles in Art Education, Childhood Education, and the International Journal of Social Sciences. She has delivered numerous papers and presentations at international, national and state conferences. Research interests include art integration throughout the curriculum, museum and community partnership in art education, art education and sustainability, and teacher education and preparation.
