Intellect

On 1–2 July, a conference was held at the Centre for the Study of Migration, Queen Mary, University of London, to celebrate the launch of Crossings: Journal of Migration and Culture. Intellect was very pleased to attend and hear fascinating papers in a wide range of subjects, such as medicine, film studies and anthropology, reflecting the journal’s thoroughly interdisciplinary nature. As well as academic papers, the conference included a poetry fest featuring the Exiled Writers Ink, exemplifying the journal’s mission ‘to establish a forum for much needed dialogue between the academy and practioners of culture’.
