Film Matters Launches Call For Submissions

Film Matters, a new magazine published by Intellect in partnership with the Department of Film Studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, seeks papers written by undergraduate film scholars for its inaugural issue. This call is open to any undergraduate student, currently enrolled at an institution of higher learning worldwide and working towards a bachelor’s degree in any field. Any original piece of written scholarship, involving film criticism, history, or theory will be considered for publication.

Author Pat Francis running workshop at ADM-HEA conference

Author and academic Pat Francis, is set to run a workshop focusing on 'inspiring creativity in, and through, writing' at the ADM-HEA's third learning and teaching day this summer (09/07/2009) at Southampton's Solent University.

 

Pat Francis is a specialist in the area and has recently completed a book focusing on the subject: Inspiring Writing in Art and Design: Taking a Line for a Write (Intellect 2009).
