Julian Friedmann

"I feel inspired by writers who have something to say and know how to make it accessible to a broad audience. The story is not as important as the way you tell it".

Julian Friedmann is Joint Managing Director of Blake Friedmann Literary Agency in London which represents 200 book and script writers worldwide and Editor of ScriptWriter Magazine, Europe's leading magazine for professional scriptwriters. In the early 1990s was the first UK Co-ordinator for EAVE, a producer-training course that was one of the European Union MEDIA 1 projects. He then went on to create and become Head of Studies of PILOTS (Programme for the International Launch of Television Series) for MEDIA 1, a course focused on the writing and developing of long-running television series. Lecturers included John Wells (E.R. and The West Wing) and Caryn Mandabach (Carsey Werner - Roseanne, Third Rock from the Sun). Author of How to Make Money Scriptwriting and Editor of two volumes of essays, Julian now teaches all aspects of the business of scriptwriting.
