Tara Burk

 Tara Burk is a doctoral candidate in art history at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Her dissertation examines art and dissent in the public sphere, with a particular focus on feminist and queer art collectives active in New York City between 1985 and 1995. The recipient of a 2012–2013 Dissertation Writing Fellowship at the Center for Place, Culture and Politics, Burk has articles forthcoming in the peer-reviewed journals WSQ and Space and Culture as well as in the anthologies Studies in Ephemera: Text and Image in Eighteenth-Century Print (2013) and Art, Production and Social Movement (2013).
