Dimitris Charitos
Dimitris Charitos is an Assistant professor at the Department of Communication and Media Studies of the University of Athens, teaching ‘Human–Computer Communication’, ‘Art and Technology’, ‘Visual Communication – Visual Design’, ‘Digital and Hybrid Mediated Spaces’, ‘Interactive Design’ and ‘Music and New Media’. He studied Architectural Design (National Technical University of Athens, 1990), Computer Aided Design, has a Ph.D. on Interactive Design and Virtual Environments (University of Strathclyde, 1998) and authored or co-authored more than 70 publications in books, journals and conference proceedings. His artistic work involves electronic music, audio-visual, non-interactive or interactive, site-specific installations and virtual environments.
