Maja Klausen

Maja Klausen is a Ph.D. fellow and teacher at the Department for the Study of Culture at the University of Southern Denmark. In her Ph.D. project she uses ethnographic methods in examining how our everyday use of digital and mobile media affects and is affected by urban space. Her fields of interest are urban cultural and ICT studies, ethnography and media geography, participatory, cultures and subcultures, affect, play and spatial practice. She has published articles on user-driven innovation and on the phenomena of urban exploration and parkour, which are discussed in relation to the spatial experiences tied to the late modern ‘media city’.
