Jean-Matthieu Méon
Jean-Matthieu Méon is Senior Lecturer in Media Studies at the University of Lorraine (Metz, France) and member of the Centre de Recherche sur les Médiations, where he co-coordinates the Praxitèle research group dedicated to ‘Arts, cultures and mediations’. He has published extensively on censorship and low and popular culture – including music, pornography and comic books. His works on comic books deal in particular with the institutional, political and professional dimensions of their cultural legitimization.
