Aims & Scope

European Journal for the Philosophy of Communication (Empedocles) publishes articles, essays and book reviews that deal with the philosophical dimensions of communication and the communicative dimensions of philosophy. We do not favour particular philosophical schools and traditions over others and we are open to all theoretical orientations in communication studies. We are an interdisciplinary journal for those working at the interface of philosophy and the study of communication, in all its aspects.

Intellect Author Fund

The Editors' royalties for the European Journal for the Philosophy of Communication (Empedocles) are donated to the Intellect Author Fund. The Intellect Author Fund has been set up to support open access publication by scholars from developing regions. Intellect authors and editors may donate their royalties to the Fund. Earnings from the Fund are allocated to a peer-reviewed IntellectOpen publication.

Based on this feedback, the Editors will communicate a decision and revision suggestions to authors. To appeal an editorial decision, please contact the main Editor who will consider your case.
