Short guide to journal production
This short guide provides a summary of your role during the production process and is a useful resource for new editors and guest editors alike.

Intellect style guide
Please familiarize yourself with the house style laid out in this guide and ensure that your contributors are also aware of it and follow it closely.

Intellect Publishing Agreement
Once you have accepted an article for publication the author must complete this form otherwise the article cannot be published. Please send the completed form to your journal manager when you submit the article for copy editing.

Peer review flowchart   文章批审流程
Before an article is accepted for publication, it must undergo peer review by at least two academics. This flowchart gives an overview of the process.


Instructions for reviewers
When you send an article for peer review, please also send the reviewer some instructions. This document is only an example and you are free to edit it as you wish.

Running order template
Please make sure that you include a running order when sending journal articles to your journal manager.

Proof corrections template
When sending contributors the proof of their article, please ask them to clearly list any changes in a table.

Fair use of film stills
Society for Cinema and Media Studies’ Statement of Fair Use Best Practices for Media Studies Publishing provides a good overview of the principles of Fair Use. 
Fair use for the visual arts
The College Art Association has produced the Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for the Visual Arts, a guide based on feedback from artists, designers, curators, museum directors, academics, art historians, rights and reproduction officers, and editors at scholarly publishers and journals. This extremely useful resource from 2015 is available here.
