Intellect at SCMS 2010

Intellect was pleased to attend and exhibit at the 2010 Society for Cinema and Media Studies annual conference last weekend. This year marks the fiftieth anniversary for the association, celebrating the occasion by hosting this year's meeting in Los Angeles, the historic home of the “Hollywood” film and television industries, from Wednesday, March 17th through Sunday, March 21st.

Intellect has a strong critical mass of titles in the area of film studies, and we were pleased to be able to celebrate two new film publications in Intellect’s portfolio: Film Matters and the Directory of World Cinema: Japan, as well as a number of other popular recently published titles including:

Transnational Cinemas

Journal of Screenwriting

Comedy Studies

Musical Comedy Films of Grigorii Alexsandrov

Futures of Chinese Cinemas

Three Myths of Internet Governance

Attendees were able to meet with David Desser, editor of Journal of Japanese and Korean Cinema at our stand on the Friday afternoon, and we also held a video interview with David, soon to be posted on our blog!

We hope to see you at next year's SCMS conference!
