Intellect at PSi 16

We had a great time at the Performance Studies International conference in Toronto – the three days there were filled with interesting people, good conversations and exciting new proposals for books and journals. It was also an opportunity for our new North American Representatives Amy Damutz and Kyra Kordoski (me) to get our first taste of working directly with Intellect's diverse academic community. Needless to say, the experience was thoroughly enjoyed and we're really looking forward to meeting more of you. Hosted by York University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and the Ontario College of Art & Design, this iteration of the annual conference coincided with Luminato, an international festival of all things creative and performative, including music, theatre, dance and public art. It was an ideal time and place for this year's PSi theme: "Performing Publics". Between the PSi performance program (, site specific events, and the broad spectrum of Luminato's offerings, the city of Toronto was a smorgasbord of rich and engaging performance. Lucky us!
