National Communication Association 14-17 November, 2010

Intellect joined over 5,300 attendees at this year’s National Communication Conference in San Francisco, California. Scholars, working professionals and delegates from across North America, Europe and beyond gathered to discuss issues facing communication and media professionals worldwide. This was Intellect’s first time exhibiting at this respected event.

The large venue allowed me to introduce Intellect’s expansive media and cultural studies portfolio as well as learn about current works in progress by attending scholars. Many exciting book and journal ideas were discussed and I encourage potential authors and editors to contact me regarding submissions. Please check our “Publish with Us” area on our website to learn more about our publishing philosophy and guidelines.

NCA was an exciting event to experience. Intellect’s offerings, geared to both a North American and international audience, helped distinguish it from the other publishers in attendance. The response was overwhelmingly positive. Thank you to all who spoke with me, especially our current authors who were in attendance. One of whom was Christopher Smit who's forthcoming book, The Exile of Britney Spears - which is set to hit the bookshelves in March - caused a real stir. We look forward to meeting you and discussing your proposal ideas at NCA’s 97th annual conference in New Orleans!
