Asian Cinema 23.1 now available

This year Intellect is proud to welcome ASIAN CINEMA to our Film Studies collection. Well-respected and established in its field, Asian Cinema has been published continuously since 1995 and is the flagship publication of the Asian Cinema Studies Society. Devoted to the advancement of Asian cinema studies throughout the world, and addressing all manner of Asian films from full-length movies to documentaries, animation and experimental work, this journal has served as a key resource for researchers, teachers and students in this area.
Moving into its 23rd volume, issue one carries everything from a discussion of low-budget Chinese comedies from John Berra and Liu Yang to an exploration of the colonial past in contemporary Korean cinema from Cynthia Childs, as well as the concluding half of esteemed former editor John A. Lent's history of the Asian Cinema Studies Society. Along with other articles, essays, interviews and conference reports, these contributions mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Asian Cinema.
