Intellect Postgraduate Prize Winner
Congratulations to Ruth Mitchell

Ruth Mitchell has been awarded the Intellect Postgraduate Prize for her outstanding commitment to public engagement during her MRes in Theatre & Performance at Plymouth University (2012-13). Ruth's thesis performance, which researched the dramaturgy of solo theatre-making, was called Coffee with Vera in the Vestry. This site-specific performance at the Plymouth Synagogue, which is the oldest Ashkenazi Synagogue still in use in the English speaking world, explored issues of cultural identity, community, memory and heritage through conversation. She later took a version of the production to the Jewish Museum in London.
