Anis Rahman
Dr. Anis Rahman is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Communication at the University of Washington, Seattle. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication from Simon Fraser University and an M.A. in Television Journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London with a Chevening Award. Anis is broadly interested in media and platform ownership and its impact on journalism and public interest in the contexts of the Global South. His current research projects range from digital activism, public internet, communication policies and platform regulation in South Asia. Anis serves as a Co-Chair of the Public Service Media Policies Working Group of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR).
