Dirk Reynders

Dirk Reynders (Ph.D.), is a lecturer, writer, researcher, cultural critic and currently also campus director of C-mine Genk of LUCA School of Arts. His research and expertise focuses on visual culture, semiotics, gender and ethnicity. His work contributes to a renewed and modern view of social visual culture, more specifically the paradox between realism (representation) and formalism (aestheticism), a topic that contributes to a better understanding of the role images play in functional or expressive resistance within gender and inclusion.
